ICD-10 Code Changes for 2019
Effective October 1, 2018
Code changes are effective 10-1-2018 and based on date of service, not billing date.
New codes must be used for services occurring on or after October 1.
The updated code(s) most affecting chiropractic providers is M79.1 Myalgia, which has been deleted and replaced with a new set of codes as outlined below.

M79.10 Myalgia, unspecified site (all areas) M79.11 Myalgia of mastication muscle (Cervical area ONLY) M79.12 Myalgia of auxiliary muscles, head and neck – (Cervical area ONLY)
M79.18 Myalgia, other site (Thoracic & Lumbar areas)
These codes have been modified in the Document Plus software for use on the Clinical Exam Forms. They have been released via automatic update and should be available for use as outlined below.
You will need to manually add codes for use on the Daily Notes.

Body Locations Diagnosis Entry (BLDE) screen is now available in the following locations:
Daily Notes (DN3, DN4) New Additional bubble
Clinical Exam CE3, General - Other 4 bubble
CE2, page 4, Lumbosacral Other 2 bubble
**IMPORTANT NOTE**
The Body Location Diagnosis Entry (BLDE) screen can ONLY be customized from the “New Additional” bubble under Assessment, Diagnosis on the Daily Note 3 (DN3) form.
The Body Locations Diagnosis Entry (BLDE) screen ONLY needs to be modified ONCE from that location. Updates will then appear in ALL available locations.
